Work has started (March'21) on the development of 2WD Robots that use the more powerful and feature rich ESP32 microcontroller shown above right.
The first project aims to be a simple 'plug replaceable' upgrade to the existing ESP8266 2WD Robot so that many of the limitations with that design (small number of GPIO pins etc.) can be easily overcome.
The second development is then a 'clean sheet' development that will use the ESP32 and either the L298N or HG7881 motor controller.
